Biography Louis & the Losers

Front man Lodewijk van der Linden has created his own sound through the years, though in it, one clearly defines influences of masters such as Fats Domino, Ray Charles, Jerry Lee Lewis and Professor Longhair. All through the Netherlands Lodewijk has played on all kinds of occasions, bringing the spectators in a happy atmosphere.

No one knows better how to bring ancient rhythms to his drums, than Matthias van Olst. He mixes them up with his own ideas and voila: an irresistible beat is born. Matthias is also a glass artist and lives in Zwolle…

…just as René Postma. Perfect timing and solid double bass patterns are inextricable connected to him. He delivers the base allowing the other members of the band to really get loose.

And on baritone sax we have Mr. Arnoud de Graaff from Gouda. He's always in a good mood. And you can not only hear it in his playing, but you can also see it in his dance moves. And no-one on this planet has his groovy, juicy sound.

Tibor Elferink also has a very distinctive own sound on his tenor sax. It comes with great depth and profoundness. No wonder he's such a popular musician in his hometown Zwolle.

Finally, also from Zwolle, comes the bands virtuoso David Wilschut. He's a real crowd-pleaser. It's anatomically impossible to sit still, once he starts playing his solos.
